As some of you may know, I've been water/juice-fasting of late. For those who don't know, it's been 30 days so far of just green tea, apple cider vinegar, water, and juice (mostly green). My goal is a total of 60 days so I'm half way through! An achievement that pleases me immensely!
About a week ago I began adding garlic and cayenne pepper to my juice combinations and have LOVED the zesty taste! In the past I couldn't handle really spicy foods, but lately I've connected to spicier things in life, and my choice of juice reflects that. Could there be a connection...d'ya think???
Today I want to share about the human soul on fire, as Ferdinand Foch, so eloquently states in the quote above. Music, dance and colour light my life up. I don't think I'd be alive if it weren't for these elements playing such a strong role in my daily life. I listen and sing to music every day and my house is filled with my favourite colours everywhere! I make an effort to participate in some form of dancing at least once per month and feel it if I haven't. I seem to light up best when I share my passions with others. Even just sharing with one other person is enough to spark my enthusiasm! And people get it, they see that I am lit up and excited about my passions. It's catching to talk about the things that make us inspired, invigorated, and spiced up! All of these elements make my soul catch fire...how about you?
Is your soul on fire?
Are you lit up from within?
Is there passion in your veins?
What lights you up? Are you inspired when you share your passions? I would love to read what you are motivated by and by whom...feel free to share in the comments section below!
As I mentioned in my last blog entry, I am collaborating with Shyam Drury of Inner Answers. He has developed a workshop which takes off where my workshop ends, a sort of stepping stone which further propels people into living a life of their choosing, from deep within their true essence. Check out information about Shyam here, he's a pretty amazing man!
Though still in its infancy, our pairing is shaping up to be a very spicy adventure! There will be more information in the coming weeks, so keep up with my musings for some amazing, life-affirming times ahead!
Along those spicy lines, though perhaps on a more mellowed note, Saturday night I had the immense pleasure of joining a group of beautiful people in an ecstatic dance workshop. It was great dancing without the club-like atmosphere filled with boozy people...this workshop was occupied with nothing but happy, healthy people. It was in a gorgeous yoga space, where only light and love moved with and within us all. As I mentioned earlier I've been on a juice/water fast for 30 days, so I knew to take it easy, drink water, and pace myself. Other than an unexpected release of toxins into my stomach causing some occasional nausea, I felt completely satiated from our combined movements, music, and energy. Some people I had never met before but because of our shared intentions and energies, I felt nothing but love and joy! A few of us went out to eat afterward at one of the "spiciest" (not food spicy...but everything else spicy!) restaurants in town, Gypsy Tapas House. I had lemongrass tea while everyone else enjoyed their food. It struck me after a while that I had no interest in the food around me....me, who hasn't eaten in 30 days! Apart from the odd whiff of someone's this or that, it barely registered what each person had. I had no interest in their food because I had filled up with the love, movement and musical spirit of each person who I had contact with. Thank you Theva Indrasenan of Dancing Dhevas for putting on our Spring Ecstatic Dance workshop. It was an incredible evening! I am very much looking forward to the next dance!
Until next time, I will leave you with this spiciest of spicy quotes!
Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you, say what you've got to say, and say it hot.
